David Mamet's "American Buffalo" is headed back on stage and has now cast Haley Joel Osment (Forrest Gump, AI), who will be making his Broadway debut.
The 20-year-old actor, who was an Academy Award nominee for "The Sixth Sense," joins John Leguizamo and Cedric the Entertainer in the revival that opens November 17th at the Belasco Theatre. Preview performances begin October 31st. "American Buffalo," which is a robbery tale set in a Chicago junk shop, will be directed by Robert Falls of Chicago's Goodman Theatre.
The first time the play opened was in New York on February 16th, 1977 and had 122 performances. Robert Duvall played Teach, Kenneth McMillan played Don and John Savage played Bobby. Al Pacino also played Teach from 1981-1984.
